Alors voici ci dessous les règles de sécurité indiquée sur le produit (en anglais, mais si quelqu'un veut traduire).
Je retiens :
- qu'il ne le déconseillent pas pour les enfants !
,
- qu'il ne faut pas l'appliquer près des yeux et de la bouche,
- que certains produits naturels sont attaqués (cuir) ainsi que le viscose (rayon), l'élastane (spandex, lycra) et l'acrylique,
- qu'on peut l'utiliser sur certaines matières plastiques (nylon) ainsi que sur le coton et la laine,
- attention aux verres (watch crystals ?)
- et qu'ils conseillent de laver les vêtements traités avant de les remettre.

Apply over all exposed skin to repel mosquitoes, ticks and biting flies.
Use enough repellent to cover exposed skin and/or clothing.
Do not use under clothing. Do not spray in enclosed areas.
Do not spray directly on face.
If used on face, spray on hands first, then apply sparingly to face and ears.

Works on clothing too: spray shirts, pants and hats.
For ticks, chiggers and fleas apply to tops of socks and around opening of outer clothing.
After returning indoors, wash skin with soap and water.
Wash treated clothing before wearing it again.
Do not apply to synthetic fabrics such as acetate, rayon or spandex.
Will not damage cotton, wool and nylon.
May damage furniture finishes, leather, plastics and painted and varnished surfaces, including watch crystals, guns, bows and automobiles.
Allow repellent to dry before handing bow or gun stock.

M'enfin, n'oublions pas: "Une proportion de 30 % de DEET dans le produit suffit. Une concentration de 40 % semble d'ailleurs être le point de saturation maximale. Il n'est donc pas nécessaire de choisir les produits qui en contiennent davantage (jusqu'à 95 %)."
